Install Battlefield 2 and Join Battlefield 2 Indonesia v2.0

This guide covers the full game installer, the Matrakomputindo launcher, key setup, server Favorites, CRC verification, and common Windows fixes.

Files to download

  1. Open the download folders from the buttons above.
  2. Download the complete Battlefield 2 installer set: 1 .exe file and 3 .bin files.
  3. Download Launcher.zip. Zip password: matra.

CRC verification

Before installing, verify that the files were downloaded completely. In Windows, you can use 7-Zip, HashTab, WinRAR, or PowerShell. Compare the result with the checksum file in the download folder when available.

Battlefield 2 installer .exe + 3 .binUse the CRC, SHA256, or checksums.txt file included in the official download folder. Do not install if one of the installer parts fails verification.

Install the game

  1. Put the .exe file and all 3 .bin files in the same folder.
  2. Do not rename the installer files. The .exe must be next to the .bin files.
  3. Right-click the .exe installer, then choose Run as administrator.
  4. Follow the setup until Battlefield 2 is fully installed.
  5. Extract Launcher.zip after the game installation is complete.
  6. Run the launcher setup as administrator. When it finishes, close the setup window.

Required after-install steps

  1. Run the launcher from the desktop. Right-click it and choose Run as administrator.
  2. For the first run, open KeyMan or KeyManager from the launcher.
  3. Click Random several times, then click Apply.
  4. When everything is ready, click BF2 Matra.

Join the server from Favorites

  1. Open Battlefield 2 from the launcher.
  2. Go to Multiplayer.
  3. Open the Favorites tab.
  4. Choose Add Server or Add Favorite.
  5. Enter this server address: matrakomputindo.my.id.
  6. Save it, select the server from Favorites, then click Join Server.

If the server does not show up

  1. Make sure your internet connection is active.
  2. Make sure the address is typed exactly: matrakomputindo.my.id.
  3. Close the launcher and Battlefield 2, open them again, then check Favorites.
  4. If Windows Firewall asks, allow Battlefield 2 and the launcher to access the network.
  5. If fullscreen mode causes an error, close the game and run the launcher again as administrator.
  6. If the game closes when joining the server, click Folder in the launcher, then open Battlefield 2\Redist\Registry. Run bf2_x64 for 64-bit Windows or bf2_x86/bf2_x84 for 32-bit Windows. This is common on Windows 10.

Gameplay notes

  • Battlefield 2 is an older game. Use the highest stable resolution your PC can handle, especially if you play sniper.
  • The server uses custom scoring. Players who actively play in a team role receive score multipliers.
  • Commander bounty has the highest multiplier. Squad leader, squad member, lone wolf, and enemy asset destruction also have custom scoring.
  • Rank, unlocks, awards, sponsor graphics, and server messages are handled by the Matrakomputindo BF2Statistics and server stack.

Known bug

Bluetooth headsets may crash the game on some systems. A patch or stable workaround is still being investigated. Use wired audio if this happens.

If Windows blocks the launcher or installer, allow it only if the file was downloaded from the official folder above.

File yang harus di-download

  1. Buka folder download dari tombol di atas.
  2. Download installer Battlefield 2 lengkap: 1 file .exe dan 3 file .bin.
  3. Download Launcher.zip. Password zip: matra.

Verifikasi CRC

Sebelum install, pastikan file tidak korup. Gunakan 7-Zip, HashTab, WinRAR, atau PowerShell. Cocokkan hasilnya dengan file checksum di folder download jika tersedia.

Install game

  1. Taruh file .exe dan semua 3 file .bin di folder yang sama.
  2. Jangan ubah nama file installer. File .exe butuh file .bin berada di sebelahnya.
  3. Klik kanan file .exe, lalu pilih Run as administrator.
  4. Ikuti proses setup sampai Battlefield 2 selesai terinstall.
  5. Extract file Launcher.zip setelah instalasi game selesai.
  6. Jalankan setup launcher dengan mode administrator. Jika sudah selesai, tutup saja.

Langkah wajib setelah install

  1. Jalankan launcher di desktop dengan klik kanan, lalu pilih Run as administrator.
  2. Untuk pertama kali, jalankan KeyMan atau KeyManager dari launcher.
  3. Klik Random beberapa kali, lalu klik Apply.
  4. Setelah semua siap, klik BF2 Matra.

Masuk server lewat Favorites

  1. Buka Battlefield 2 dari launcher.
  2. Masuk ke menu Multiplayer.
  3. Buka tab Favorites.
  4. Pilih Add Server atau Add Favorite.
  5. Masukkan alamat server ini: matrakomputindo.my.id.
  6. Simpan, pilih server dari Favorites, lalu klik Join Server.

Kalau server belum muncul

  1. Pastikan koneksi internet aktif.
  2. Pastikan alamat diketik persis: matrakomputindo.my.id.
  3. Tutup launcher dan Battlefield 2, buka lagi, lalu cek Favorites kembali.
  4. Kalau Windows Firewall bertanya, izinkan Battlefield 2 dan launcher untuk akses network.
  5. Kalau main fullscreen tapi muncul error, tutup game lalu jalankan ulang launcher dengan Run as administrator.
  6. Kalau game keluar sendiri saat gabung server, di launcher ada tombol Folder. Klik tombol itu, lalu buka Battlefield 2\Redist\Registry. Jalankan bf2_x64 untuk Windows 64-bit atau bf2_x86/bf2_x84 untuk Windows 32-bit. Ini biasa terjadi di Windows 10.

Tips

  • Karena ini game lama, gunakan resolusi tertinggi yang stabil untuk performa dan jarak pandang terbaik, terutama untuk sniper.
  • Sistem scoring baru memberi multiplier untuk pemain yang aktif dalam team.
  • Bounty Commander memiliki multiplier terbesar. Squad leader, squad member, lone wolf, dan penghancuran asset lawan juga punya scoring khusus.
  • Rank, unlock, award, sponsor graphic, dan server message berjalan lewat sistem Matrakomputindo BF2Statistics dan server stack.

Bugs

Jika menggunakan headset Bluetooth, game kemungkinan bisa crash di beberapa sistem. Saat ini patch atau workaround stabil masih dicari. Gunakan audio kabel jika masalah ini muncul.

Kalau Windows menahan launcher atau installer, izinkan hanya jika file tersebut diambil dari folder resmi di atas.
